FarmIQ spring tips

Calling all dairy farmers! Spring is the ideal time to record certain data in FarmIQ as part of your pre-mating checks.

When it comes to the heifers, it’s a good idea to record body condition scores when you do your weighing. You can enter all this information on the web app, or if you have the Te Pari integration set up and the information is recorded in Te Pari, the information can flow through to FarmIQ. Contact the Support team if you have any questions about this!

As calves are born and it’s time for their first vaccinations, be sure to enter all records, whether it’s Clostridial, Multi-min or other drench. To enter animal health treatments on the mobile app: click on mob in paddock > activities > health treatment > record info.

Spring is also when pasture growth skyrockets (hopefully!), so be sure to enter your pasture measurements as you do your pasture walk. Click on a paddock and then record pasture cover. You can see your most recent pasture cover farm walk from the map layers/filters button and then selecting 'pasture'.

If you’ve got paddocks sprayed out for planned rotations, you can make note of this on the web app and include a safe date for stock to graze.
